I’m Joshua Camacho, founder, director and lead videographer at Camacho Films, with a local creative team behind every shoot. This page is about who you’ll actually be working with, how I work, and why I set things up the way I have.
A beautiful shot isn’t enough.
I started out behind the camera because I loved telling stories with pictures. Over ten-plus years that turned into something broader. I learned to direct, produce, edit and, just as importantly, to understand what a business needs a video to do. A beautiful shot doesn’t help much if nobody watches it or it doesn’t move people to act.
Much of my career has been spent working with international clients in countries that weren’t their own. Again and again I saw the same problems: briefs lost in translation, local suppliers who didn’t reply, deadlines that slipped, and producers spending their nights fixing problems that should never have happened.
I built Camacho Films to remove those problems. Today I work from two bases, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Budapest, and travel across the Canary Islands and Europe for brands, agencies, NGOs and production companies.
Simple, and it works.

Moonscape to skyline in a single day.
Tenerife is one of Europe’s most versatile filming locations. In one day you can shoot on a volcanic moonscape around Teide, in misty laurel forest in Anaga, on black-sand beaches, in the colonial streets of La Laguna and against the modern skyline of Santa Cruz. The light is good all year.
But filming here well takes local knowledge. Weather can change completely between the coast and the mountains. Some locations need permission. Many suppliers work only in Spanish. Getting around takes longer than the map suggests. Living and working here means I plan around all of that, so your production runs smoothly from day one.
